About the Artist

Hello, my name is Bailey Lai! I’m Vietnamese-American artist, deep in the heart of Texas. I’m a pet-lover without a pet, silly doodles enthusiast, and a sticker collector with sticker commitment issues. I graduated with a B.A. at the School of Arts, Technology and Emerging Communications (ATEC) at the University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in design and production.

Although I don’t have a specific art style, I like to create things that make me happy and showcase whatever I can’t explain into words. I enjoy working with Photoshop, but I dabble in other mediums such as painting and digital illustration. My work is inspired by mundanity, minimalism, geometric shapes, and occasionally contemporary or avant-garde artwork.

With a daydreamer's mindset, my imagination goes beyond what reality has to offer. My creative perspective on the world is the reason I create art. I express complex thoughts and opinions while simplifying them enough for the conventional eye to understand. I strive to push others to view things beyond face value because art will always have answers that are yet to be found.
